This area is designed as a resource for teachers who are using the Art and Life in Africa CD-ROM program and/or Art and Life in Africa Online website with their students.
ALA Slide Show Tests
Use images from the ALA CD-ROM for Identification or Comparison "slide" tests. The ALATests.exe program uses Slide Show/Bookmark lists created in the ALA CD-ROM program and displays the images without captions, allowing them to be used for testing purposes.
Download the compressed ALATests program for the appropriate platform (should uncompress to a file called ALATests.exe):
ALATest.sit for Macintosh (1.4 MB)
ALATest.zip for Windows 95/98/NT (1.1 MB)
Note that you will need to have the ALA CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive before opening the ALATests.exe program.
ALA CD-ROM Teacher's Guide (online version)
A printed version of the Teacher's guide is also available from the Art and Life in Africa Project office. Contact africart@uiowa.edu.
