Background:

Ariana Hamidi teaches courses in film and video production, writing, editing, and film programming.  She specializes in optical printing and re-photography, animation, and handmade film.  Her current research interests involve the use of text as image in time-based media.  Hamidi is an experimental poet, filmmaker, and video artist. Her film, A Covenant Adam, was recently included in the Moving Picture Palace at Anthology Film Archives in New York.  Her newest film, Dear Cyclops, will premiere this winter at the Woodland Pattern Book Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
