| Background: |
| Louis Schwartz teaches contemporary US cinema, film theory, experimental film and para-cinemas such as ethnographic film. He has prepared a manuscript on the use of evidentiary film and videotape in US courts from 1919 to the present. Schwartz's current research consists of two projects: the first concerns the concept of “life” in Gilles Deleuze’s cinema books and the other project concerns deconstruction and the history of film theory with a particular emphasis on rereading Andre Bazin. |
