The CMRF is pleased to announce the arrival of the new Hitachi S-3400N SEM. The SEM is a high performance, user friendly scanning electron microscope with new improvements that allow the best results for a wide range of applications. Features include:
Unique VP-mode that allows microscopy of wet, oily and non-conductive samples in their natural state with-out the need of conventional sample preparation.
3.0 nm resolution guaranteed in high vacuum mode or 4.0 nm in VP-mode.
Funding for the S-3400 was made possible through a grant from the National Institures of Health as well as dedicated faculty members. The CMRF would like to thank the NIH along with Mike Apicella, Chuck Grose, Tim Starner, Michael Welsh and Mary Wilson.
To accomodate the growing list of available equipment offered through the CMRF we have expanded our facilities, the S-3400 is available in room B21H of Trowbridge Hall. Equipment reservations are available through our scheduling website.
