Corridor Volunteers is a joint project of the United Way of Johnson County and the United Way of East Central Iowa. The University of Iowa Civic Engagement Program and the 10,000 Hours Show are proud to work in partnership with them to bring you a terrific resource that you can use today. If you are a local, nonprofit organization and you are currently not registered on Corridor Volunteers, please take time to register on Corridor Volunteers today (steps are outlined below).

Corridor Volunteers is a fabulous, free resource for local nonprofit organizations. Your organization does NOT need to be a United Way organization to use Corridor Volunteers! It is a point of referral for potential volunteers all year long. Joining Corridor Volunteers will greatly enhance the visibility of your organization and make your volunteer opportunities known to a wide and varied audience of potential volunteers.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION
The Civic Engagement Program at The University of Iowa is excited about partnering with you to provide volunteer opportunities that will engage our students in helping to meet community needs.
WITH YOUR HELP WE CAN DO MORE
UI students are talented and generous leaders. Some may be already engaged in helping your organization make a difference in our community. With your help, we can increase numbers of students involved in volunteering.
SERVICE EXPERIENCES CAN HELP SHAPE STUDENTS' LIVES
The service experiences your organization provides can help develop the academic and career interests of UI students. Volunteer experiences with your organization can help develop students as active, responsible citizens who are empowered to shape society through life-long commitment to community service. The University of Iowa acknowledges its vital role in helping students wield intellectual knowledge for civic benefit. Community service provides an important link between classroom learning and civic responsibility, underscoring the importance of knowledge and service in a democratic society.
