Thank you for your interest in volunteering. The Civic Engagement Program (CEP) provides a number of services to help you make connections in the local community and beyond.
CORRIDOR VOLUNTEERS WEBSITE
The CEP has partnered with the 10,000 Hours Show, United Way of Johnson County, and United Way of East Central Iowa on a website known as "Corridor Volunteers" designed to help you find volunteer opportunities quickly and easily.
As you explore Corridor Volunteers and utilize its searchable database, you will discover a wide range of community-based organizations that can benefit from your willingness to share your time, talents, and skills. The time you spend volunteering can be used to help children and adults acquire literacy skills, clean up an ecosystem, lead museum tours, lend support to the elderly, promote cultural diversity and so much more. As you build on the strengths of our community, you will learn practical skills, make new friends, and discover new aspects of yourself! Your commitment to service really does make a difference to everyone including you! If you are interested in registering, look for the "Login" section and click on the link that reads, "I do not have an account and would like to register." This step is required if you are accessing Corridor Volunteers to register with the 10,000 Hours Show (10K). Organizations affiliated with the University of Iowa Civic Engagement Program are identified with a medallion of the Old Capitol Dome; those affiliated with 10K are identified with a 10K medallion.
