Mark Andrejevic is an associate professor who teaches courses in media studies. He is also a former journalist who studied economics (at Williams College) and journalism (at the University of Michigan) before receiving a Ph.D. in media studies in 2001 from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

His work focuses on critical approaches to the media, and he has written several articles and book chapters on topics including interactive media, surveillance, digital art, and reality TV. He is also the author of a book on reality TV (Reality TV: The Work of Being Watched, Rowman & Littlefield: 2004).
