Though I'm an Arkansas native, I attended and received my B.A. from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. I left with three majors in English, Writing, and Psychology.

My influences are a host of feminist theorists and African-American authors from bell hooks to Catharine MacKinnon to Patrica Hill Collins. In addition, queer theory seems to be an interest coinciding, though still quite separate, from my interests in feminist theory.

My none-scholarly interests lie in creative writing, primarily short fiction. I have published several of my works in my home campus' literary magazines. I am currenly traviling down the road to publication in national literary journals and magazines. It is proving to be quite a long stretch.
