I came to Iowa in 2002 after earning a Master's degree from the University of North Texas. Though I intended to work on twentieth century literature here, I was lured back to the Renaissance by Shakespeare. I'm interested in how writers of the period represented and interacted with political power. I've researched topics such as slander, censorship, and nationalism. Whennot reading, I amuse myself with sports and politics.
