In 2000, I graduated from Earlham College with a B.A. in English literature. I spent the next year on the faculty at Earlham, acting as both Special Assistant to the Dean of Students and Associate Director of Academic Support Services. My studies at the University of Iowa center on 20th century American literature, with a special emphasis on the political and social networks that impact the production and distribution of texts. I have spent two years teaching in the Rhetoric Department's general education program, and last semester I served as a leader in that department's Professional Development Program (PDP). I am also currently one of three co-organizers for the English department's annual CRAFT, CRITIQUE, CULTURE conference.
