Results of the 2005 Surveys to Undergraduates, Graduate/Professional Students, Faculty and Staff
In the summer of 2004, former President David Skorton charged the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity to survey members of The University of Iowa community about their perceptions of the climate for diversity on campus. President Skorton appointed an advisory committee of faculty, administrators, and staff from across campus to participate in the project. With the input of pretest groups, separate surveys were developed for different campus constituencies: undergraduate students, graduate/professional students, faculty, and staff to examine the following areas:
- Campus climate for faculty, staff, and students
- Level and quality of intergroup relations among faculty, staff, and students
- Diversity awareness of faculty, staff and students
The student surveys were conducted in the spring semester of 2005, and the faculty and staff surveys were conducted in the fall semester of 2005. Reports of survey results will be available on this website as they are completed. At this time, the undergraduate and graduate/professional student survey reports are available
