The Greek placement test is paper-and-pencil based and typically covers grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. This test is administered during summer Orientation for first-year students. Continuing students who need to register for a test should contact the Evaluation and Examination Service at 319-335-0356, or ui-testing@uiowa.edu. For those students who have completed four or more years of Greek language in high school, the UI offers the opportunity to earn incentive credit through the Foreign Language Incentive Program (FLIP). An explanation of the Foreign Language Incentive Program is available at FLIP.
