Interested in taking a
class this fall? Applications for two tuition programs
sponsored by UI Human
Resources are due July 20.
Faculty and staff members
in a degree program that is in support of institutional
goals that are work-related
at The University of Iowa may be eligible for the
Tuition Assistance Program. This program pays for
up to 4 semester
hours of course work each semester.
Staff members who are not in a degree program but
would like to take a course that is in support
of institutional
goals that are work-related may be eligible for
the Staff Tuition Grant Program. This program pays
$200
toward a class at The University of Iowa or other
eligible institutions.

Health library open house To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hardin
Library for the Health Sciences and the centennial
of John
Martin’s birth, an open house is planned
in the library’s John Martin Rare Book Room
at 7pm, June 10.
Ed Holtum, curator, will highlight recent acquisitions
and answer questions on the library’s collection
of rare medical books, one of the finest collections
in the United States.
