The Geneva Lecture Series Presents:

Luci Shaw, Poet and Writer

Luci Shaw was born to ardent evangelical missionaries, and as a youth she “desperately wanted to cling” to the tight Christian belief system of her parents. Yet, she says, “I have always been a natural skeptic...a truth seeker, a God-hungerer.” The result has been an intense spiritual journey, reflected in her writing. Luci Shaw has authored eight books of poetry and seven books of prose, co-authored three books with Madeleine L’Engle, edited four other volumes, and written numerous essays and reviews. In addition she was co-founder and later president of Harold Shaw Publishing.  See her website at www.lucishaw.com.

Room 304, English-Philosophy Building (EPB)

A challenge to notice the small details of life, to find connections in concrete reality that lead us to
see larger things. This seminar will speak to artists of all kinds, and to all in whom the creative spirit is active.

Geneva Lecture: The Crime of Living Cautiously”

Room C20, Pomerantz Center (PC)
(Note: There is a parking ramp beneath the PBB.)
