Faculty and Staff

What constitutes the core of the Department of Health and Sport Studies today is our faculty’s teaching and research focus on various aspects of physical activity, most specifically sport, health, and the body. The research interests of individual faculty members reflect variations in terminology relevant to the subject of study in each subdiscipline.  We are a multidisciplinary department with breadth from the health sciences, to the social science perspective of psychology, to the humanities focus of history, to the interdisciplinarity of cultural studies.  We are united by our disciplinary strengths and our commitments to multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary inquiry.
