Winter Thaw Retreat
The Winter Thaw Retreat is our annual adviser get-together for professional development and camaraderie.
It traditionally takes place in February. The 2008 Thaw focused on publication design, including sessions on InDesign, Photoshop and photography issues. Past sessions have focused on legal and ethical issues as well as current trends in journalism.
Each year we meet for dinner Friday night, enjoy intense sessions Saturday morning and afternoon and regroup once more for dinner Saturday night. The cost of the sessions is modest. Hotel and dinner costs are separate.
