What Can Students Do with a Certificate in Medieval Studies?

Medieval Studies provides excellent preliminary training to a career in law, publishing, library science or museum management. A certificate in Medieval Studies may pave the way for advanced work in a number of fields including comparative literature, ancient and modern languages, English, Near Eastern studies, linguistics, philosophy, religion, theater, and music history.

What Type of Certificate Will I Receive?

You will receive two certificates. One is created with a computer and signed by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Director of the Division of Interdisciplinary Programs, and the Academic Coordinator of Medieval Studies. The second is created by hand by a local calligrapher.
