Jennifer Ley

Catch the Land Mine !! is the first in a growing series of works new media artist and writer Jennifer Ley has created which give form to her growing conviction that art and literature on the internet must address issues of global concern. At a time when much is written about the negative effects of globalization, too few new media works make use of the positive global reach of the internet to educate and affirm positive humanitarian and human rights agendas. Authored in late 2000 using photographs Ms. Ley took in Cambodia in October of that year and premiered at SUNY-Buffalo's E-Poetry 2001, Catch the Land Mine !! was first published on the Web by the internet literary magazine BeeHive in June 2002.
