Our
2007 Workshops
Located in the heart of Iowa City, a vibrant college town, the University of Iowa’s state-of-the-art Adler Journalism Building hosted more than 115 students during the Summer Journalism Workshops last summer. Students and instructors – whether in the Newspaper Editors, Section Editors, or Writing groups, Photojournalism, or Web or Publication Design had – access to the latest in computer technology and software. Yearbook staffs collaborated to develop creative strategies and elements for the coming year’s publication. Broadcast students prepared television productions in the building’s contemporary media facility using professional – grade equipment, including digital video cameras and Final Cut Pro editing software. Student work was submitted for publication by the Pacemaker Award-winning Daily Iowan campus newspaper during the week. Work also was published on the newspaper’s website. See
