Academic Planning Counselors are available for individual counseling
appointments to assist students with academic performance and adjustment
to the university. Common counseling fuctions include:
Information sharing about University policies, procedures,
or practices (course load management, drop/add, second grade option).
Assessment of study skills to improve academic and performance
outcomes.
Problem-solving strategies to handle academic,
personal, and social situations.
Monitoring progress of student participants
to determine effectiveness of services.
Program planning and development of workshops
which address college transition issues.
Referrals to campus resources for concerns
outside the scope NDIL services.
Guidance in Career Planning.
