| A number of units on campus provide services parallel to those offered by University Relations. They include: They know just about everything, from what's playing at the Bijou to where to find an apartment. The creative staff at the Center for Media Production provide graphic design, photo, video, and audio services for hundreds of campus projects. With special expertise in the health sciences, the Creative Media Group is a one-stop center for research presentations, teaching tools, publicity materials, and more. Health Science Relations works in concert with University News Services and with the Joint Office for Planning, Marketing and Communications to provide comprehensive communications services for the entire UI campus. Health Science Relations handles media relations and publications for the five health colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health) and the State Hygienic Laboratory. The unit also operate a tour program that brings high school and college students to the health sciences campus and provides strategic communications and issues management counsel to the leadership of the health colleges.
The offices oversees the publications and marketing services for University of Iowa Health Care. It offers an overview of events on the University of Iowa campus. Lectures, concerts, and special events are all listed here. Submit an event for posting.
The IMU Marketing & Design Department is responsible for creating awareness, interest, usage, and vision for the Iowa Memorial Union’s facilities and services. Staffed by six full-time professionals and a talented student staff, Marketing and Design provides marketing, design, and web services to other University departments as well. Services include marketing plans; research and public relations; logo, advertisement, brochure, and poster design; and web site creation and consultation. Contact Marketing Manager, Nancy Abram at 335-3414 . Photo Unit (Center for Media Production) The Photo Unit produces materials for use in teaching, research, and promotion. Photographers may be contracted to photograph a group or special event. Portrait photography services also are available.
