The Strategic Plan For The University Of Iowa

Achieving Distinction 2000 was distributed to the University of Iowa Community in June, 1995 following a lengthy period of review with two open forums and three University-wide appeals for comments and suggestions.

On December 17, 1996, President Mary Sue Coleman presented the State Board of Regents with the University's first Statement of Core Values, designed to give direction to the University's ongoing strategic planning process. With the addition of this statement and other documents, the Regents gave final approval to the plan. See the December 17 News Release.
