About the Association

Established in 1955 as the Dad's Association, the organization was transformed into the current UI Parents Association in 1971. It was created to bring about a closer relationship among parents, students and the University.

The Association's on-campus office is your connection to University departments and offices that can answer specific questions and respond to concerns.

The Parents Association Parent Advisory Board serves as an advisory group and meets four times each year to learn more about University plans and projects affecting students and makes recommendations for allocation of funds through the Parent Fund for Student Support.
