      2. Instructors may request creation of individual ICON course sites.
      3. Instructors may use CMSReg to request student enrollments for ICON course sites.
      4. Users will use their HawkID and HawkID password to gain access to ICON.
      5. Organizational architecture in place and distributed administrator rights granted to colleges as requested.
    2. Course Migration
      1. Summer Session Business courses will be created in ICON and ready for use.
      2. Final version of UI Course Template in use on ICON Production System.
      3. Instructor Hotline available to assist faculty and staff in migrating existing courses to, and creating new courses in ICON.

  3. August 1, 2005 – Three weeks before Fall '05 Session
    1. Integrations
      1. Instructors can request results from Exam Services in a format that enables uploading to an ICON course, similar to the functionality currently available to WebCT and Blackboard users.
      2. Instructors can export grades from an ICON course in a format that enables uploading to the OSIRIS grade reporting tool, similar to the functionality currently available to WebCT and Blackboard users.
      3. Integrations to enable auto-registration of Guided Independent Study (GIS) students into ICON courses are in place for a September launch.
    2. Course Migration
      1. All Fall ’05 Business courses created in ICON.
      2. Graduate College and Colleges of Dentistry, Law and Engineering targeted for migration during Winter 2005. Existing online courses identified and categorized.

      1. All documentation for courses designers, students, and Collegiate Administrators available.
      2. First and second drafts of all Online@Iowa ICON modules complete

      1. Winter 2005-2006 courses in Dentistry, Engineering, Graduate College, Law and Nursing (Pillars of Learning) that have been requested have been migrated to ICON and are ready for use.
      2. Migration discussions begun with Colleges of Education and Pharmacy.
    2. Infrastructure and integrations
      1. ICON Role Change tool ready for use by Collegiate Administrators.
      2. Integration Plan (including automated student drops, etc.) developed, shared with IAT.
      3. ICON Knowledge Base (including process for providing feedback to requesters) in place (as part of Change Tracker, aka Known Issues List).
    3. Project Communications
      1. New ICON Communications Plan in place. (Merge with ICON As a Service)
      2. Survey Question of the Month in place. (Merge with ICON As a Service)

      1. Fall training schedule finalized.
  16. September 11, 2006 – Three weeks after start of Fall '06 session
    1. Course Migration
      1. All Colleges contacted to identify Blackboard and WebCT courses yet to be migrated (courses with special needs) and to create a plan for migration.
  17. December 31, 2006 – End of Project
    1. Blackboard and WebCT courses archived.
    2. Blackboard and WebCT licenses terminated.
