Iowa First Nations In-State Tuition Program

Enjoy the stimulation and opportunity of a Big Ten university and pay in-state tuition rates.

The University of Iowa invites members of the tribes and nations historic to Iowa (see list) to attend the University at resident rates, regardless of where they live.  That means eligible students can choose from hundreds of areas of undergraduate study, graduate programs, and professional degrees in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, business, and law and get a tuition break worth thousands of dollars.

Besides a first-rate education, The University provides an outstanding campus in Iowa City, a full range of student activities and a thriving Native American community, recognized for its leadership by Winds of Change magazine.

If you are a high school student that would like to see the Iowa campus first hand or learn more about college life, then apply for the Iowa First Nations summer program.

The Opportunity at Iowa office would like to hear from you.  Please contact us at 1-800-553-IOWA, by e-mail at opportunity@uiowa.edu. You can also fill out the on-line form.  We'll respond soon!
