"Under the Family Educational Rights and Privileges Act, we are not allowed to contact parents directly," says Dicta Schoenfelder, manager of the Housing Office. "Therefore, these articles are the only notice parents will receive."

Students are considered to be the contracting party for room reassignment, she says.

However, parents who would like to see the contract that their student will sign may go to the Residence Services web site and choose the link at the bottom of the page for the on-campus housing contract for 2001-2002.
