Reward and Recognition Program
January-March 2005

In the Reward and Recognition Program we honor individuals and groups in Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Travel. These categories are: Working Together-"Co-worker Excellence", Customer Satisfaction-"Beyond Expectations", and Innovation-"Doing it Better" awards.

Jeffery Humpleby - "Working Together Award" Memory like a steel trap, caught PCard payment on problematic vendor that was on hold.
Mark Long - "Working Together Award" 6 years volunteer service on staff council.
John Klopp - "Innovation Award" Past and present NAEB President and NAEB article...Many Hours of Volunteerism.
Sherri Dusenbery, Sherry Reynolds-Miller, Becky Schaffner - "Innovation Award" Implementing the ProTrav application which links travel and PCard transactions on one system. Asked for auditors opinions before going live and continues to seek input with problems and updates. Continuingly willing to help others with problems.
Chris Frank, Dani Meyer - "Customer Satisfaction" Going above and beyond, especially with the roll out of ProTrav. Excellent job sorting out questions or problems they can handle. Walks user through processes.
Kathy Willier - "Customer Satisfaction" The "Go To" person for our department and campus. Often answers questions of seeks answers outside of her area. Volunteers, pitches in and eagerly joins the cause.
JoAnn Dolezal - "Customer Satisfaction" Knowledgeable and accommodating with customers on vendor questions and guiding. Extremely pleasant and kind.

ProTrav and e-Vouchers totally changed how auditors preformed their duties. These people learned 2 new systems at the same time! They all pulled together and helped each other to stay current as possible.

A Special Award - Iowa: Improving Our Workplace Award, was given to Anne Sopher for her exceptional effort creating positive results in the workplace. Some of these include: Cost Savings, Customer Satisfaction, and Process Improvement.

She worked with the Hospital Procurements Services and General Stores to award an office supply contract to OfficeMax. OfficeMax has a web based PCard ordering system and a savings of over $1 million over the life of the contract.

Anne was not able to attend the presentation due to her on-going involvement in our University attending a Staff Council Retreat.
