Reward and Recognition Program
July-September 2006

In the Reward and Recognition Program we honor individuals and groups in Accounts Payable, Purchasing and Travel. These categories are: Working Together-"Co-worker Excellence", Customer Satisfaction-"Beyond Expectations", Innovation-"Doing it Better", and Supportive-"Promoting our OE Mission" awards.

A special thanks go to Committee Members: Mary Jane Stumpf (chairman), Karen LeVelle (co-chair), Valerie Blanchard, Roland Zschiegner and Brenda Bang.

Bob Bruns and JoAnn Dolezal - Working Together "Co-worker Excellence Award" These people have worked under difficult circumstances for quite some time and performed admirably. They have been short staffed, losing Kathy, Keith, Andrea, and Rene' (vendor file work, po dispatch, misc po updates including po closes, Item file maintenance, filing and distributing rfg responses etc). They are courteous an cooperative under circumstances that might have caused others to be anything but that.

Amy Wilson, Bev Seamans, Valerie Blanchard, and Michelle Sweeney - Working Together "Co-worker Excellence Award" This is a team that takes pride in their work. They work well together and strive to satisfy all customers. Their persistence in aggresively applying credits and reviewing statements has led to lower dollars claimed by outside audits.

• Amy often assists with Voyager fuel invoices and had taken on the lead role in learning REVERSAL voucher processes and assisted in entering a large volume of Reversals at our crucial fiscal year end.
• Michelle excels in working with CEC invoices and works very closely with the PA and has researched paid invoices multiple times to ensure compliance.
• Bev excels in working with ICON statements (it was a HUGE MESS) and with the large volumes of invoices on copier contracts. Many of ICON invoices are billed incorrectly and Bev is very instrumental in working with the various depts and ICON to pay the correct amounts as well as cleaning up the huge statement.
• Val continues to be of assistance to her team members and the 'go to' person when special needs arise.

Dawn Jarrard and Brenda Bell - Working Together "Co-worker Excellence Award" Helping with a LARGE volume of po closings that need to be done on a monthly basis. Without their volunteered help, well over 1000 po's would not have been closed in time for the depts next SOA, which would have lead to more phone calls.

Violet Wardeh - Working Together "Co-worker Excellence Award"  Violet has filled in for all teams that have personnel shortages. She has done filing, micor-filming etc. Because of her efforts, the whole dept benefits. Also, a huge thumbs up for cleaning the refrigerators, microwaves, break room and conference rooms.

Gina Pottorff - Working Together "Co-worker Excellence Award"  Gina has been in the dept for a very short time. However, her knowledge base and contributions as a team player would make you think she has been here much longer. Her transition and training periods were short and accelerated due to dept circumstances. Her desire and willingness to come in and do what needed to be done was and is greatly appreciated and admired!
