The trip began on the night of Friday March 9th. We met at the I.M.U. and jumped into our big beautiful white rental van (which we lovingly named "Gorvan") and were on our way.

28 hours later, we arrived in sunny West Palm Beach, Florida. We were all exhausted after the drive, so we headed to our rooms for a good night's sleep in preparation for our first day of diving.

We arrived at the boat bright and early. The certified divers got geared up and took off on the boat. The uncertified divers took off for the pool.
Unfortunately, the seas were too high, so nobody got to dive that day. We took a trip to the beach instead. It was a good time, except for the fact that Scott's camera was somehow destroyed! hmmm?!? This is the last picture of the camera when it was working.
Some of us were also bound and determined to get a coconut to fall into our hands.

The next day, we got our first taste of Florida diving. We met at the boat very early and headed out for sea. Our fearless Cap'N Clark braved the seas to give us a great dive.

Before we got in, we had to rub Cap'N Clark's magical dive cap.
The certified divers were the first in. They finished up their dive and the uncertified divers lost their title... and became certified.

We were all certified divers after that. The next few days were filled with great diving.

Ahoy Cap'N Conrad!
We never did get that coconut.
Pucker up Cap'N's!!

Corey: Shhhh, come here. Close your eyes... Okay, open them.
Claire: I'm flying!
