What:   Latino/a Youth Leadership Summit

When:   Friday October 27, 2006

Where: Des Moines Public Library, Des Moines, Iowa

Who:    Latina/o junior or senior high school student leaders

Why:    Students will have the opportunity to participate in Keynote and breakout sessions that will address issues that affect their community.  They will be given the opportunity to participate in discussion groups and further develop leadership skills. Youth will be provided with resources to take back to their schools and communities and given tools for creating change.

We are excited to announce that primary presenters will include:

Maestro leads one of the largest traditional Calpulli's (dance groups) of Mexico.
