About Abstracts

Since inception, the Seminar for Research in Art Education--an issue group of the National Art Education Association--has acknowledged and encouraged diverse research by scholars throughout the country. In response to these numerous research interests and to inform members, SRAE up to year 2003 published Abstracts from the research presentations of each NAEA Convention. Beginning in 2004, SRAE posted Abstracts on its Web site. Following the format established in 1993 by Peter Smith, all abstracts are listed in alphabetical order by the name of the primary presenter.

Richard Siegesmund's instructive description of the process and the criteria traditionally used to examine each research proposal is included once again. See his document, “Writing Conference Proposals for NAEA” .
