Purchasing tickets at the door one hour before a performance

It is possible to purchase tickets to most Theatre Arts productions one hour prior to the performance, on an as-available basis. Many of our shows sell out, in which case no tickets will be available for sale at the door.

Purchasing tickets for Gallery and Workshop shows

Tickets for Galleries and Workshops are available in the Theatre lobby one hour before showtime.

  • Tickets for Gallery shows are $6 non-students and $4 students.
  • Tickets for Workshops are $2.

Purchasing Tickets for Iowa New Play Festival

Tickets for New Play Festival will be available from 12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m. May 5-9, and one hour before show times, at the Theatre Building Box Office.

  • Tickets for the Iowa New Play Festival are $6 non-students and $4 students.

Tickets for Summer Rep

Tickets for Summer Rep are available starting in early May at the Hancher Box Office. Tickets are also available at the door.

  • Non-students - $24.00
  • Seniors - $20.00
  • UI Students and Youth - $12.00

Tickets for No Shame Theatre

No Shame Theatre is a student organization that presents new work in the Theatre Building every Friday night at 11:00.  Its goal is to encourage new writing for a live audience. All pieces are five minutes or less in length. To present a piece, arrive at the Theatre building no later than 10:30 pm. Everyone is invited to participate.  Tickets are inexpensive and available at the door.
