Strong Interest Inventory (SII)

The Strong Interest Inventory is one of the most widely used vocational psychological tests available today. It is used primarily as an aid in the exploration of occupational and academic interests. The SII does not examine your abilities and skills; it is an inventory of your interests. It can tell you something about the patterns of your interests and should be considered as an introduction to career exploration. The results may tell you, for example, that your interests are similar to those of engineers who are satisfied with their career choice. The results do not tell you, for example, whether you have an aptitude for the mathematics involved in this career. The SII will ask you to indicate your preference for a wide range of occupations, school subjects, activities and types of people. It will take about 45-60 minutes to complete.
