Fair Trade Coffee Spreads!
Due to the work of UICG, fair trade coffee may spread beyond its current locations on campus.
How you can help
To get fair trade coffee across campus, it is helpful to have requests for it -- this shows that there is interest. Expansion of fair trade coffee will only be permanent if it is economically viable.
For the fair trade coffee to be kept, sales at the new locations will need to be at least as high as they were before. While fair trade coffee is more expensive than regular coffee, it also ensure that the workers who grow the coffee (campesinos in other countries) get a fair price for their work. Buying the fair trade coffee will ensure that they get a fair price and that we can keep it on the University.
