History of the University of Iowa Campus Greens
UICG formed in about 1999. It was active during the 2003-2004 school year, but was plagued with declining membership and apathy on the part of those who did occassionally attend. Fortunately, the new school year brought repeated success for the Campus Greens. Recently the UI administration has agreed to review the university's investments and has agreed to a trial expansion of fair trade coffee.
The past campaigns of UICG include the following:
- Film and Lecture Series (see a flyer)
- Co-sponsor of the rally against the state marriage amendment
- Numerous other achievements
