Meeting Notes for 2004-10-06:
Fellow Greens, After the shocking and inspiring presentation made by SAS, NLC, and the Bangladesh workers, a few of us had a meeting over some pizza. Here are the notes: 1. Honors Debate Oct. 13 -Dave S, David, Kevin, and Doug will repressent the Green perspective. -Doug will contact the Honors Program organnizers to get more info. 2. Divestment Campaign a. Gaining Support - Ethan will contact ISU, Doug will contactt UNI - We are contacting various student groups to have them sign our proposal. Chad has the list of who is contacting each group. If more support is needed later on, we will contact faculty and reach out the community. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to leftist groups. b. Writing Proposal - We are meeting this Sunday at 8 PM at Chaad and Ethan’s apt. to finalize our proposal. - Email any information you have gathered tto David Sacks at david- sacks@uiowa.edu 3. Other - We decided it is not appropriate to take change from someone collecting donations. That's all. Remember Kevin's campaign meeting is tomorrow at 8 at Pizza on D.
