The UIEC is a group of students at the University of Iowa working towards greater environmental stewardship on campus. The UIEC engages the UI community by spearheading projects, co-sponsoring events with other campus environmental groups and builds strong relationships with the UI administration. The UIEC believes that to make any real change, we all must work together.

UIEC membership can fluctuate from semester to semester, and from project to project. However, a core of members stands strong to help guide future endeavors. We are always looking for new ideas, new solutions to current problems and ways to educate those around us.

Although education, events and projects are a big part of what our group does -- we also believe that having fun is crucial to deepening our relationship with nature. The UIEC regularly plans camping events, parties, group meals and other fun things to not only get us into nature, but to bring us closer as friends.
