And then we won sectionals! After a few big wins, close losses, and injuries during the spring season, IHUC came to sectionals at full strength to go undefeated and take the championship.
The previous tournaments in the spring season included Southerns, Huck Finn, and Fools Fest.
Regionals starts on april 26th in Decorah, IA.
The weather held off this year and allowed for a great tournament down in Springfield, MO. After a slow start to Oklahoma and a close lose against Whitewater, IHUC finished saturday at 2-2. The team came out hot on Sunday and ended winning a rematch against Whitewater. IHUC advanced to the finals and ended up losing 4-12 to north texas.
With only 1 Sunday loss in the first 2 tournaments and a big win over regional competition whitewater, IHUC is looking to do big things this spring.

IHUC went 7-1 in the first tournament of the "spring." A close loss to Ole' Miss in pool play forced Iowa back into the B bracket for the second year in a row. Our 30 man team allowed us to keep fresh legs all through sunday and end up retaining our title as B Bracket champions.
As a whole, the team showed glimpses of being at the national level, but still lacks experience. It will be another month until Frostbite so we have some tough work ahead.
