Support Service Programs
Support Service Programs (SSP) provides supportive counseling and academic
assistance to traditionally underrepresented and educationally under-served
students in higher education. The purpose of the office is to provide educational
and personal assistance to the students in regular university classes and
to coordinate services to the students across the campus. The federally
funded Upward Bound program for high school students is administered through
SSP as well as the federally funded tutoring program in math and science
for low-income, first generation students and students with disabilities.
