Summer 2008 Auditionees: Call us (319-335-1635) prior to your Orientation visit to schedule a brief audition. HMB woodwind and brass auditions will be held in Halsey Hall, directly east of the IMU. Report to room W112 for your audition. For your convenience, you may drop off your instrument at W112 Halsey Hall anytime prior to your audition. We can provide a mellophone, baritone or tuba for you to use during your audition - just bring your own mouthpiece.

Auditions for the Hawkeye Marching Band are held during the UI Summer Orientation program (call the Band Office prior to your Orientation visit to schedule your audition), or by appointment during the spring semester. The Band Office phone number is 319/335-1635. Woodwind and brass players are asked to prepare a brief excerpt from a solo or etude which demonstrates their technical ability.
