Bassoon Auditions

Undergraduates

Prospective students can audition for The University of Iowa School of Music by live audition or by tape. Students are encouraged to perform repertoire that best represents their ability. Following is recommended combination of music for an undrgraduate audition:

• 2 solo works of contrasting styles
• 1 etude from Weissenborn or Milde

Graduate Students

• Perform one concerto from standard repertoire
• 3 orchestral excerpts of choice
