Transportation and Direction

If you are planning on flying to the conference, you have two primary airport choices: Cedar Rapids, IA (CID) and Moline, IL (MLI). Cedar Rapids is about 30 minutes from Iowa City and Moline is about an hour away. Both are easy drives and flights are sometimes much cheaper to Moline than Cedar Rapids, so you might want to check both options. Airlines serving the airports are:

Cedar Rapids, Iowa—Eastern Iowa Airport:

American
ATA
Delta/COMAir
Northwest
United
Here’s the web address for the Eastern Iowa Airport

Moline, Illinois—Quad City International Airport:
Air Tran
American
ATA
Delta
Northwest
United Express
Here's the web address for the Quad Cities Airport

Each airport website lists the names of rental car companies available, should you wish to rent a car. If not, there are several airport shuttles from the Cedar
Rapids Airport. A shuttle/cab would be significantly more expensive from Moline, so if you're flying into Moline, you might want to consider getting a rental car.

Directions for travel to/from the Quad Cities airport
are listed on their website and will include construction alerts, so they’re worth checking.

Directions for travel to/from the Eastern Iowa (Cedar Rapids) Airport:
The map for the Eastern Iowa Airport is only minimally helpful, so below are further directions: Exiting the Cedar Rapids Airport: Exit the terminal area and at the stop sign (6th Street), turn left and then make a quick right onto Wright Bros. Blvd. Go east on Wright Bros. Blvd. for approx. 1 mile, and then take I-380 South (entering on the right) toward Iowa City for approx. 13 miles. Exit for I-80 East (take the second right exit--Exit 0A) for I-80 East toward Iowa City.
