Students admitted for fall 2012 are invited to join the UI Class of 2016 on Facebook! It's a great way to connect with your future classmates.

Using Your Admissions Profile on ISIS
Much of your University business can be conducted online through your Admissions Profile on ISIS, the Iowa Student Information System, using your Hawk ID and password. If you forget or misplace your Hawk ID or password, you can Request a Password Reset online.

Accepting admission
The deadline to Accept our Offer of Admission (through your Admissions Profile on ISIS) is May 1, 2012, although there are many advantages to accepting admission before then. For instance, invitations to register for Orientation begin being sent in March to students who have accepted admission.

Apply for campus housing
The Application for On-Campus Housing will be available in mid-November through your Admissions Profile on ISIS. Watch the Video about options for fall 2012! Also be sure to check out our Living-Learning Communities, where your neighbors will have similar academic or other interests.

Apply for financial aid
As soon as possible in January (and preferably before March 1), file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This federal form is used to help the University determine your eligibility for financial aid, including grants, loans, and certain scholarships. The UI Office of Student Financial Aid offers detailed information about applying for loans and grants. The University also offers several Scholarships for First-Year Students.

Register for Orientation
Beginning in March, students who have accepted admission receive an invitation to register for Orientation, which occurs in the summer. Orientation is where you will meet with an academic advisor and register for your first semester of classes.

Prepare for On Iowa!
On Iowa! is a three-day program—only for first-year students—in which you'll move into the residence halls early and participate in a variety of activities designed to help you make new friends, discover Hawkeye traditions, prepare to excel in your classes, and explore student groups and activities.
