After we receive your application, we will send you a Hawk ID and password to access Iowa Student Information Services (ISIS), a web-based student service center where you can check the status of your application and conduct other University business online.

Forget your Hawk ID or password to log in? No problem. Call the Office of Admissions at 800-553-IOWA (800-553-4692) 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Your Admissions Profile on ISIS
Use your Admissions Profile on ISIS to conduct a variety of University business online. Click the Admissions Profile link in the QuickLinks box.

  • Check your application status, including which application materials (including transcripts and test scores) are on file.
  • Check the details we have on file about your admission status (degree program, tuition classification, admission decision, etc.).
  • Know your University ID number. Located in the Personal Information section, this will be your identification number while at the University. Be sure to learn it and include it in all your correspondence with us.
  • Check your housing options.
  • Monitor the status of your financial aid application.
  • Set up your free University e-mail account. After you are admitted, set up your University e-mail account. It's easy, free, and e-mail is how the University communicates with admitted students. You may choose to redirect mail from your Iowa account to another account (Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, etc.).
  • Download health insurance forms if you wish to enroll in the group insurance plan available through the University.
  • Download the medical history form for your physician to complete (includes information about the MMR immunity requirement and other requirements for international students).
