The campus is equipped with more than 1,200 free computer workstations and dozens of wireless networking "hot spots." Students also enjoy laptop checkouts, knowledgeable technical support, free e-mail, and the option to buy computers at discount prices.

Free computer workstations and wireless networking
There are 26 Instructional Technology Centers (ITCs) on campus, providing some 1,200 computer workstations. Laptop Computer Checkout is available, and dozens of campus locations provide Wireless Networking.

Free e-mail
The University provides an E-mail Account to every student, plus the ability to register for classes and conduct other University business online via Iowa Student Information Services. Dial-in access to the campus network allows University faculty, staff, and students to read e-mail and conduct other network-based activities from a home computer.

Digital multimedia
The Information Arcade in the Main Library is an advanced computing facility open to all students. It contains high-end personal computers for generating digital multimedia.

Computer instruction
Expert advice is available daily at the ITS Help Desk, and
Information Technology Services offers a variety of Short Courses and Online Software Tutorials.

Computer discounts
Students, staff, and faculty also may qualify for an Educational Discounts on computer equipment.
