The University of Iowa Libraries system is comprised of the Main Library, the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, and 11 branch libraries:

The College of Education also has a Curriculum Resources Laboratory, featuring K-12 instructional materials for evaluation and use by students.

Electronic media resources
The library system also offers state-of-the-art electronic media resources. Among them:

  • The Information Arcade—This is an advanced facility for using electronic information and multimedia in teaching, research, and independent learning. It is located in the Main Library.
  • The Information Commons—Offering high-end multimedia development workstations and a networked electronic classroom, as well as research workstations for searching health-related databases and the Internet. This is located in the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences.
