Orientation for international students in F-1 or J-1 status
International students are required to attend an additional orientation program sponsored by the UI Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS). The OISS program explains immigration regulations, immunization and insurance requirements, and introduces you to a wealth of resources for international students on campus. English Proficiency Evaluations for students and teaching assistants also are part of the program.
