The Biosciences
Program is not a degree-granting program. Rather, it is a multidisciplinary
entry program for 14 PhD-granting departments and programs at The University
of Iowa.

Admission requirements
Applicants must meet the Admission Requirements of the Graduate College and the department offering the degree program (review the department's web site or the General Catalog for departmental requirements).

Application procedures
For this degree program, you will need to send some application materials to the Biosciences Centralized Application System and some to the Office of Admissions, which handles Graduate College applications.
Materials to send to the department:
- Your official academic records/transcripts
- An online Preliminary
Application through the Biosciences Centralized Application System
Materials to send to Admissions:
- A second set of your official academic records/transcripts
- Your official GRE General Test scores from the Educational Testing Service (the University's institutional code is 6681)
- International students must send their official TOEFL scores from the Educational Testing Service (the University's institutional code is 6681).
- Once recommended for admission, international students must send a Financial Statement.
Apply
Once your departmental Preliminary
Application is approved by the Biosciences Program, you may Apply
Online to the University. The $60 application fee ($85 for international students; $100 for international students applying for Summer Session 2010 and beyond) is
payable by MasterCard or Visa. If
you cannot pay by credit card, you may Download
and Print an Application* and pay the fee by check or money order
in U.S. currency made payable to "The University of Iowa."
