MA and the PhD in Teaching and Learning with a focus in Elementary
Education are awarded by the Graduate College. The MA is offered
with or without a thesis.

Application deadlines
- Fall Semester—July 15 (April 15 for international students)
- Spring Semester—December 1 (October 1 for international students)
- Summer Session—April 15 (March 1 for international students)
Application procedures
For these degree programs, you will need to send some application materials
to your academic department and some to the Office of Admissions, which
handles Graduate College applications.
Materials to send to the department:
- Your official academic records/transcripts
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation*
- A personal statement
- Applicants desiring teacher certification should contact program staff for additional requirements.
Materials to send to Admissions:
- A second set of your official academic records/transcripts
- Your official GRE General Test scores from the Educational Testing Service (the University's institutional code is 6681)
- International students must send their official TOEFL scores from the Educational Testing Service (the University's institutional code is 6681).
- Once recommended for admission, international students must send a Financial Statement.
