Applications are taken for the spring and fall semesters.
- Fall Semester—June 30 (May 1 priority deadline for admission)
- Spring
Semester—December 1 (October 1 priority deadline for admission)
- Summer Session—not offered
Application
procedures
Some materials should be sent to the UI Office of Admissions;
others should be sent directly to the Tippie School of Management.
Materials
to send to the School of Management:
- A current résumé
- Three Letters of Recommendation*
- Two
personal essays written in response to questions on the application
form.
- These may be submitted electronically as part of the online
application, or you can mail them to the School of Management.
Materials
to send to the Office of Admissions:
- Transcripts
from every institution you have attended
- Your
GMAT score report (Iowa's institutional
code is 4RL-2J-61)
- Your
TOEFL score, if you are an
international student (Iowa's institutional code is 6681).

Online, the $60 application fee ($85 for international students; $100 for international students applying for Summer Session 2010 and beyond) is
payable by MasterCard or Visa. If
you cannot pay by credit card, you may Download
and Print an Application* and pay the fee by check or money order
in U.S. currency made payable to "The University of Iowa."
